STOCKHOLM FASHION WEEK
24-26 August, 2015
Traveling is always a time for discovering new cool design settings, so it’s hardly surprising that our vacations and boutique hotels go hand in hand. Last week, as we jetted off to Stockholm, Sweden, for a few day of fashion shows, we teamed up with the super-stylish HTL Hotel Kungsgatan, possibly one of the best hotel choices in town. This meant not only lots of interior design inspiration, but that we were also walking distance to Fashion Week and could always get a good night’s sleep before the early morning shows. Perfect, innit?
The HTL Kungsgatan is centrally located, right on Kungsgatan, but feels somehow hidden away from the bustling city streets. The vibe in the common rooms was always fun, young, and laid-back with a nicely buzzing atmosphere – especially at breakfast time. As an added bonus, the hotel is a local foodie favorite – and was one of our ours as well. Our room was cosy but well appointed and felt very trend-setting in its design, with a great attention to detail throughout.
The edgy interiors and smart functions also allowed for a great use of the space, which always comes in handy when traveling with a bunch of bags. The feature that made us go from like to love? Definitely the gorgeous courtyard area (with top-notch furnishings!) where you can enjoy a ‘well-deserved’ drink, after your show-marathon. Seriously, could this hotel be any cooler?
