With ‘fashion month’ in full swing, we have expanded our travel stories to shine a light on the international fashion scene, starting with London Collections: Men. Everybody knows it: Fashion is what London does best. Ever since LC:M burst onto the scene, the city has been one of the world’s style capital when it comes to menswear. It just has that perfect balance – small enough to be interesting and manageable, creative and young enough to be fun. As a long weekend in London and another LC:M end, we now look back at the best of British talent, and give you a first run down of the things we loved this season.

Always one to look forward to, Topman Design, did not disappoint us. The Topman team never fails to re-work the past into current and diverse designs. This time around, it brought some rock n roll and old school surf into the present. Our thoughts? Eminently wearable, colorful, and probably affordable.
Responding to the vibrant prints of Topman SS16, menswear duo Cottweiler got us instead completely awestruck with uber-futuristic whites, a pastel atmosphere, and a new contemporary take on sportswear, yet remaining clean and sleek. Definitely one of the best presentations of the week.

For our stay in London we teamed up with the Hoxton Hotel on High Holborn. The hotel was a smart choice: it is absolutely central, looks fresh and clean with an intelligent use of design touches. Hitting the sweet spot between old school elegance and carefully chosen modernity, it has, on the whole, that crucial likeability factor. It comes then as no surprise that the stylish lobby, cool service and delicious plates makes it a go-to choice for fashionistas during LC:M.
The hotel has a certain swagger to it, but it’s actually surprisingly peaceful. Our room was not particularly spacious, but very likeable. A supercomfy bed, free Wi-fi, handy guides to takeaway and a daily breakfast bag drop were all trump cards. But the real star was the dining area with the lobby bar, a great cocktail hangout, perfect for a glass of wine before heading to the shows.

Another collection that could make it to our summer wardrobe was Alex Mullins‘ SS16. A stellar collection with lots of white denim and bright colors graffiti style, which brought some cool energy to the scene. Definitely one to watch.
Matthew Miller remained instead classic Miller, sleek and formal, with experimental textures, attention to details and his signature strong tailoring. He did it so well, he should probably be studied in all fashion textbooks.
